Cartoon of Obama from Kuwaiti newspaper
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but this cartoon seems offensive to me? I am also having trouble understanding why the paint can says “black” on it in English if they don’t write in English there? It just seems so hypocritical to me that they feel they can pretty much be as offensive as they want in their cartoons, but I can’t even draw a flattering picture of Mohammad without outrage from the middle east? I guess the terrorists have won.

They do write in English throughout the Middle East. There are more newspapers in English than in Arabic. If this is from Kuwait it would not be surprisping becuase almost all kuwaiti people speak fluent English. You really can’t compare a political cartoon to a cartoon of religous nature. Barrack Obabma is not considered a prophet by over a billion people. There are racisms in abundant in our American Newspapers, so acting high and mighty is hypocritcal. Do not forget it is the American Press that made this campaign about race. There are black leaders throughout the world who are just viewed simply as the “president” or whatever their post may be. In the U.S. however one is identified as Hispanic Congressman or Black Senator. It could be a perceptive cartoon after all.

It’s funny that it’s illegal in the states to deny the “halacaust”.. american freedom of speech.. pfff!! yes, right!!? looks like the zionists have made more harm to your freedoms of speech than the “terrorists” that you’re affraid of.

I think that it might be illegal in Germany to deny the Holocaust, but as far as I know it isn’t illegal in the US.
