A 60-year-old Palm Bay teacher was arrested late Wednesday on suspicion of having sex with one of her 17-year-old students, police said.
The boy’s mother complained that Adrienne Laflamme, who taught science at the Brevard County Juvenile Detention Center, picked her son up at home and had a four-week relationship with him, investigators said. The two had sex at least 15 times, police said, including one time that also involved another teenage boy.
Substitutes have a hard job. I would say that the odds are it is the students fault. The sub probably had 30 students in the class and only managed to get in a fight with one. The girl had one sub in the class and got in a fight with one sub. The sub only gets in fights with 3% of her students, while the student gets in fights with 100% of her subs.
Either way, I know that if I were a teacher and ever had a student like myself when I was in school, I would be wailing on their ass too.

Well no shit! The kid is in kindergarten! What did you expect him to talk about world cultures and give you back rubs!?
Obviously this teacher is an abusive idiot, but they are blowing it way out of proportion! We have a war in Iraq and failing economy and you are reporting on a teacher that lost her temper?
I can’t help but laugh when the narrator ends the first segment with, “Angry words the little boy can’t seem to forget.” What a load of sappy, overblown bull shit! Wasn’t any one at ABC ever a little boy? I know that I spend most of my childhood constantly trying to figure out how to get out of trouble!
I am sure most teachers have wanted to punch one of their students from time to time and I guess in Japan that is okay. I was a bit of an asshole in class, so I’m glad I wasn’t in Japan. Here in the United States we embrace our asshole students and they can go on to be anything they want (even the President, see George W. Bush).
Something that makes this even more disturbing (not to sound sexist), but this is a man hitting a little girl. I know if he was in the US we would have angry mobs descending on the school
